Welcome! To kick off 2022, ITMP is going to be starting a blog. You’ll be able to find all the latest news about ITMP here, from program updates to special feature articles written about topics we’re passionate about! And it’s not only the tutors and admins who will be taking part - we’ll also be showcasing articles our students have been working hard on, and sharing the things they want the world to hear.

To start things off, we wanted to introduce two very important people on our team: Todd and Shay. They’ll be sharing a short testimonial about their personal story, and how they came to understand their Indigenous heritage. Afterwards, we hope to feature a couple of short testimonials by students about their experience with ITMP so far. These testimonials serve both as a fun way to practice writing skills, and a sneak peek at what it’s like to be part of ITMP from a student perspective.

(Note that writing these posts is not mandatory, and students are encouraged to share only what they and their guardians are comfortable with, including writing under a pen name if desired.)

We hope that this blog will help you get to know us a little better, and shine a light on our amazing tutors and students! For our testimonial series, we are aiming to add new blog posts once a week (on Sundays). Afterwards, updates will be added as they occur, including announcements about relevant opportunities (such as scholarship applications) and new blog series. Stay tuned, and we hope you enjoy!
